Long before chocolate became a trend, Myriam Vanhaverbeke was crafting pralines in her atelier. By hand, with heart, and with the conviction that good chocolate always begins with a passion for the craft. No fuss, just quality.
She started modestly in 1992, but word of her pralines spread quickly — as only happens with truly good chocolate. And before she knew it, there was a chocolaterie where the aroma of freshly molded figures mingled with the sound of new orders.
From generation to generation
Today, her son, Mario Van Parijs, carries the torch. Literally: in the atelier, he still personally operates the tempering machine. Mario grew up surrounded by chocolate and learned from his mother how to respect tradition — and how to dare to innovate without losing one’s soul. Because that is what Chocolaterie Van Parijs stands for today: craftsmanship with ambition.

The shop in Roeselare is still the place where local customers come in for a box of pralines, a chocolate kiss, or a festive treat. In our shop, you will find the complete range: from our classics such as seafood pralines and paardenkopjes to seasonal creations such as Easter bunnies, Saint Nicholas, and Christmas figures.
Everything is freshly made in our own atelier, right behind the shop. Artisanal, with premium ingredients, and always served with a smile.
