1. General
These general terms and conditions apply to every order placed through the webshop of Chocolaterie Van Parijs BV, with registered office at Noordlaan 73, 8800 Roeselare, Belgium, and with enterprise number BE0450.906.082 (hereinafter referred to as ‘we’ or ‘us’).
By placing an order through the webshop, you agree to these terms and conditions. The agreement is concluded in Dutch.
2. Offer & Order
We make every effort to display the products offered as accurately and completely as possible. However, typographical errors or incorrect prices may occur. In such cases, we reserve the right to refuse or correct an order.
Our products are offered while stocks last. An order is only final after confirmation by email. We reserve the right to refuse orders in case of suspected fraud, misuse, or an invalid or incomplete address.
3. Prices & Payment
All prices on the webshop are expressed in euros and include 6% VAT. Shipping costs are stated separately during the checkout process. Payment is made online and in advance via Bancontact, credit card, or bank transfer. An order will only be processed after receipt of payment.
4. Order Confirmation
After receiving your payment, you will automatically receive an email confirmation with an overview of your order.
5. Delivery
We do our best to ship your order within 72 hours (weekdays). Delivery is made via Bpost, to the address you provided. Deliveries on public holidays or during weekends are not possible.
- For orders exceeding 10 kg or deliveries outside Belgium, please contact us in advance.
- At temperatures of 25 °C or higher, we do not ship on Fridays, to avoid loss of quality.
- Please note: Chocolate products are fragile. We pack everything carefully, but cannot provide compensation for breakage during transport.
6. Right of Withdrawal and Returns
Our products are fresh food items and therefore do not fall under the statutory right of withdrawal. Are you not satisfied or do you have a quality issue? Please contact us via info@chocolaterievanparijs.be or return the product to our store. We will work together to find a suitable solution.

7. Warranty & Complaints
Complaints regarding damage or quality must be reported within 7 days of receipt via info@chocolaterievanparijs.be, accompanied by clear photos.
We guarantee that all our products are made, packed, and shipped with care. However, we cannot be held liable for delays, damage caused by carriers, or force majeure (e.g., strikes, weather conditions).
8. Online Store Liability
We make every effort to offer a well-functioning webshop, but cannot be held liable for temporary unavailability and technical malfunctions.
9. Privacy & Data Protection (GDPR)
We respect your privacy. All personal data is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
We only collect the data necessary for processing and delivering your order. Your data will not be sold to third parties and will only be used internally or shared with partners responsible for delivery or payment.
You have the right to inspect, modify, or delete your data. This can easily be done by contacting us via info@chocolaterievanparijs.be. More information can be found in our privacy statement.
10. Intellectual Property
All texts, images, and designs on our website are the property of Chocolaterie Van Parijs or its partners and may not be copied or used without permission.
11. Applicable Law
These terms and conditions are governed by Belgian law. Disputes shall be exclusively handled by the competent courts of the district of Kortrijk.
